The mission of the Wisconsin Interfaith Voter Engagement Campaign (WIVEC) is to engage the interfaith community in the democratic process.  We believe that this work will build increased understanding and stronger ties among different faith communities, increase involvement in the electoral process, and result in a greater understanding of the positive role faith communities can play in the public square.

Congregations

We understand that every congregation has a different level in which they can engage in this work. We have created three levels of involvement: Communicate, Energize, and Outreach to help you know where you are interested in starting your voter engagement work.

COMMUNICATE: 

Communicate about voting through your various channels (announcements, newsletters, social media, bulletins, etc). Click here for more ideas and resources. 

ENERGIZE:

Energize your congregants by offering events that focus on voting efforts (entry-level activities that connect with fellow congregants and services focused on the congregation’s voting needs).  Click here for more ideas and resources.

OUTREACH:

Reach out beyond your congregation to the needs of the community at large (interfaith events and community needs). Click here for more ideas and resources.                    

Join as a Congregation        

Organizations

Partners organizations agree to the following:

• • Support the mission of WIVEC through shared activities and collaboration to support voter engagement.
  • Designate a member of your organization to participate in organizational meetings of WIVEC.
  • Share non-financial resources with WIVEC in ways that are appropriate to your organization, e.g. publicize the work, activities, and programs of WIVEC through your regular communications with your members; link to WIVEC’s website on your website and/or ‘friend’ WIVEC’s Facebook page.
  • Share your organization’s voter engagement events and actions , so WIVEC can promote them to those volunteers in our network through our e-news and social media outlets.
  • Make WIVEC visible at your state and local meetings as appropriate.
  • Agree to have your organization’s name and logo on WIVEC’s website.
